Paul A. Suzio Obituary
Paul Anthony Suzio, 66, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Grace (Cerrato) Suzio, passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on February 11th, 1958 to Marie (Giannelli) Suzio and the late John J. Suzio, Paul spent his early years in Meriden, CT. He graduated from Platt High School in 1976 and then went on to attend Quinnipiac University where he earned his Bachelors in Marketing and Economics with a minor in Mathematics. Always active, he played on his high school basketball and tennis teams and continued playing tennis for Quinnipiac. He later went on to earn his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Hartford. At the age of 28, he became the Vice President and General Manager at Edwards Signaling. Through his own hard work and dedication, he was named President & Chief Operating Officer of Bridgeport Fittings, an electrical manufacturer in CT, in 2006. He was well known and respected in his trade, having served on a variety of industry committees including NEMRA, NAED, and NEMA where he won numerous awards.
He met his wife of 44 years, Grace (Cerrato) in 1978. After marrying, they settled down in Wallingford, CT and went on to have three children together. He was a loving and selfless father and husband, always putting his family first. Never one to sit still, Paul could often be found enjoying some of his favorite things: playing tennis, fishing, taking his family out on his boat every weekend in the summers, having competitive card games with his wife and friends on Saturday nights, and working in his yard. Even in his later years, he was a young boy at heart who collected matchbox cars and loved to be outside in his yard building rock walls and doing yard work with his Kubota and heavy equipment. While his retirement was heartbreakingly short, he lived a full life and was lucky enough to travel all around the country and world with his family during their younger years. He spent as much time as he could at his home in Hilton Head Island, SC, where he loved walking on the beach with his wife collecting shells, and fishing in his backyard pond. While he loved his many hobbies, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his six young grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Grace, he leaves behind his three children; his son, Paul Suzio Jr. (wife Juliana), and his two daughters; Stephanie Suzio, and Amanda Suzio-Jungk (husband Ryan Jungk), all of Wallingford. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Camryn, Jonathan, Juliette, Brielle, Monroe, and Everly; his mother Marie Suzio, his sister Debra Albrycht, and his brother David Suzio (wife Joy). He was predeceased by his father, John J. Suzio, his brother-in-law Beau Albrycht, and his nephew Jason Albrycht. Paul also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, numerous friends, and his best friend of 46 years, James Sherman.
Paul was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 25th, at 10am, directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84, N. Colony St., Wallingford. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
After spending numerous months at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC, Paul was touched by the children there battling the unthinkable.

We would also like to thank all of Paul’s dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff at MSK in NYC and Hartford Hospital who cared for him over the years.
