NEMRA Doubles Manufacturer POS Endorsements

Portsmouth, NH - Last year NEMRA proposed minimum POS / POT reporting standards with the support of seventeen manufacturers. Today, NEMRA is pleased to announce that it has doubled the number of endorsements from its NEMRA Manufacturers Group (NMG) membership with 34 manufacturers now supporting the standards.

Integrating 16 core reporting fields, the NEMRA POS/POT standard is designed to ensure reps are appropriately and accurately compensated.

“We have come far in a year. I am very pleased to report more and more companies are now willing to demonstrate the value they place in their manufacturer representative partners,” said NEMRA President Ken Hooper. “In the growing world of data analytics, quality data is important. That starts with standards that address the core of the business.”

The manufacturers are ABB / Thomas & Betts, Arlington Industries, American Polywater, Appleton Group, CRC, Eaton B-Line, Eaton Bussmann, Eaton Crouse Hinds, , Eaton (Gear), Eaton Lighting Solutions, Eclipse Tools, Electri-Flex, General Cable, Halex, IDEAL Industries, ILSCO, Intermatic, King Electric, Legrand - Pass & Seymour, Legrand – Wattstopper, Legrand – Wiremold, Leviton, Light Efficient Design (LED), Littelfuse, Mersen, Milbank, Minerallac, Morris Products, Northern Cables, Orbit Industries, Panduit, RAB Lighting, Sola HD, Southwire, TPI.

Additionally, Budde Marketing, the industry’s leading third party POS information administrator for manufacturers, has also endorsed the strategy. Budde Marketing supports the POS/POT administration function for over a dozen companies.

“A standardized approach for distributors to report information to manufacturers will help improve the accuracy and integrity of the information we receive,” remarked Budde Marketing Vice President Mike Budde Jr.  “This should improve the quality of information that manufacturers and reps will see in their reporting.”

“On behalf of NEMRA representatives, I thank all the manufacturers endorsing these vital standards. I also thank Budde Marketing for their support and encourage all NEMRA reps to communicate the importance of this issue to both their manufacturers and distributors,” concluded Hooper.
